We want to remind people to start picking out items for donation to the auctions and raffle. The Silent Auction and Raffle Committee will take anything nice that you would like to donate. We have already received several items for this year's auction and raffle.
This would be a great opportunity for our crafters to showcase their work for the benefit of the CWCCA. Use your talents and make something for the auctions and raffle!
Items can be sent to either of the following:
Barbara McCormack
P.O. Box 31
105 Oolite Road
Battletown, KY 40104
Brenda Medlock
130 Brandi Circle
Winchester, TN 37398
Our auctioneer for 2006 will be Tom Stewart from Missouri. He has been our auctioneer in the past and will do a fine job for us. If possible, please let either Barbara or Brenda know in advance what you will be donating, and whether you plan to bring the items to Nationals or ship them.
Any inquiries or suggestions should be sent to
Brenda Medlock
and/or

State Basket Auction Details

The Fourth Annual State Basket Auction will be held at the 2006 Nationals. Over the past four years, we have had several different states and/or countries represented. We would like to see as many states as possible represented in 2006 to continue in making this a successful fundraiser for the CWCCA.
Basket items have been varied and unique. The 2005 Yankee basket was a lobster trap. The New Mexico basket was a large sheep skin. In 2004, we had a basket from the "Land of Fantasy" made up of fairy items. Each "basket" should be representative of the state it is from. The basket itself does not have to be a true basket. It can be anything that will hold the items placed in it. Items in the basket can be most anything, however, there should be no plants or perishables. Expiration dates on items should extend well past the Nationals date. The basket and contents can be as small or large as the donators wish to make it.
The following must be included with all state and/or country baskets:
a complete listing of the basket contents
a box with packaging to pack the basket and contents for travel
The items are important to ensure that each basket is kept intact and to help winning bidders to transport their basket to its new home.
Internet, as well as on-site bidding, will be available. All high bidders will be reponsible for getting their baskets home.
Let us know if your state and/or country is planning a State Basket for 2006 so that we can plan accordingly.
If there are any suggestions, or if more information is needed, contact either Brenda Medlock at
