HOTEL POLICY
NOTICE TO DOG OWNERS/EXHIBITORS:
When you or your agent sign the entry form, you also agree to the following terms concerning your stay in hotels or motels during the duration of our Specialty. Exhibitors with recreational vehicles should follow the guidelines below as applicable. These rules have been established for the good of all exhibitors and to help maintain good relationships between the dog show community and hotels/motels.
Plastic sheeting is to be placed under every crate and food dish in motel rooms (4-6” beyond the crates is recommended). This will keep carpets clean & dry. Providing the plastic sheeting for each crate will be the responsibility of each exhibitor.
Dogs must be crated in the room during the owner’s absence. NO EXCEPTIONS! This is for the dog’s safety, room preservation, and so that hotel housekeeping can have access to the room.
When not participating in performance events or warm-ups for performance events, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while in the hotel or on hotel grounds.
Dogs are not permitted in lobbies, pool areas, bars or restaurants.
Rooms & lobby must be kept clean of dog waste or debris.
Dogs should be “exercised” in designated areas on motel premises. Anyone exercising a dog is expected to pick up after the dog and to dispose of waste in designated trash cans or receptacles. It is the responsibility of the individual exercising the dog to find out where these areas or cans are located.
Due to severe clogging problems with drain pipes, no dog may be bathed in rooms. Designated bathing facilities must be used.
Rooms will be inspected daily by members of the hotel staff, and observed violations or damages will be reported to hotel management, a club officer, and/or the Event Committee.
A minimum of two club officers and/or an investigative committee appointed by the Event Chairman are charged with investigating complaints.
Each dog owner/registrant is expected to cooperate with the Event Committee, hopefully settling damage claims on the spot, or else must be willing to furnish information such as insurance policy numbers and/or other pertinent information as required or requested.
Should a hotel or motel, for cause, deem it necessary to cancel room privileges, the registrant agrees to forego legal actions against the club, club members, the hotel/motel and hotel/motel staff members.
Each exhibitor or registrant is expected to be aware that violations may result in written charges. If such charges are upheld by the Event Committee, it may lead to suspension from future show and/or host hotel privileges.
Motel/hotels have the right to charge a deposit, refundable or non-refundable.
EXHIBITORS, PLEASE CLEAN YOUR ROOMS AND PICK UP GROUNDS AFTER YOUR DOGS IN ORDER TO ASSURE THE USE OF OUR HOST HOTEL AGAIN.
