Parade Overview

Open to all Cardigan Welsh Corgis that have a Championship, Obedience, Tracking, Herding, Agility, Rally, Search and Rescue, CGC / TDI / DELTA or equivalent Title. The Parade of Title Holders and Champions, and the Parade of Therapy Dogs will both occur on Friday. The Parade of Rescue Dogs will occur on Saturday.

Each of the Parades will take place during one of the breaks in judging. Once entries close, the Show Committee will determine when the Parade(s) will be held – Morning or Afternoon – and this will be published on the Specialty Web Site, in the Newsletter, and in the Judging Schedule. Parade Times will also be announced and posted in the exhibit hall the day of.

Parade of Title Holders and/or Champions ENTRY FEE is $15.00
Parade of Rescue Dogs ENTRY FEE is FREE
Parade of Therapy Dogs ENTRY FEE is $10.00

** Please See the CWCCA National Specialty Premium List (when available) for the Information Sheet that must be filled out and returned to the Show Secretary along with your entry fee(s) if applicable. IN ADDITION – Please also send the name of your dog, and title(s) as you would like it to appear on the rosette. All dogs entered in the Parades will receive a special rosette. Rescue Dogs DO NOT have to be pre-registered to participate in the parade, and are welcome to show up that day. Rescue Dogs not registered will receive a rosette that day, but without the custom name imprint. Custom printing can be arranged.

Parade of Therapy Dogs Details

We are pleased to announce the third annual Parade of Therapy Dogs. The parade will happen on Friday, May 26, 2006, during one of the judge’s break between classes. The location is the Exhibit Hall. All Cardigan Welsh Corgis who have made ten (10) therapy visits during calendar year 2005 are eligible. It is not necessary for the dog to be registered with a therapy organization (i.e. TDI or Delta Society) to be honored in the parade.

Each dog and handler will receive a special rosette custom printed with the dog’s name and titles. All titles from all agencies can be included, not just AKC titles. Also each team will receive a special gift.

A brief narrative on the dog and handler will be read as each dog parades. Narratives should be 100 words or less. Please submit your narrative with your entry. The dog’s name and all titles for the custom printing on the rosette must be submitted at that time also.

This is a special opportunity to show off our Cardigan Therapy Dogs, ambassadors of healing and love. Come be a part of the Parade of Therapy Dogs!
