2012 CWCCA HANDBOOK
About the Online Submission Process
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE HAVING SOME ISSUES WITH NEWER VERSIONS OF FIREFOX BROWSERS WHERE USERS ARE GETTING TO THE ERROR PAGE ON THE FIRST SUBMISSION. SUBSEQUENT SUBMISSIONS SEEM TO GO THROUGH WITHOUT A PROBLEM. WE ARE LOOKING INTO THIS. - J$
The Handbook Editors have asked that a separate on-line submission form be completed for each ad.
The forms are designed to maintain your personal information after you complete the first ad, minimizing the amount of data you will need to enter on additional forms. As a rule, websites will maintain information for a default time of 20 minutes. This timer is reset with each page load, so the message here is don't walk away from the process and have the website time out, unless you are OK with re-entering all your information.
That said, we suggest you prepare for your submission by having all materials at hand, BEFORE you begin the web entries.
If you plan on submitting photos on-line, please have them scanned in at the correct resolution and format. The preferred format for submitting images is digitally in a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Images below this resolution will not be accepted. (Pictures on websites are usually 72 dpi. This resolution produces very low quality pictures in print ads.) Those needing help on how to submit pictures or how to change the resolution on existing pictures will be referred to online tutorials by the Editors.
If you plan on submitting pedigrees on-line, this can take awhile so grab your favorite wake-up beverage, flex those fingers and remember the time out warning above.
A wonderful thing about the internet is the convenience.. the dangerous thing about the web is the convenience for hackers, malware artists, etc. The handbook ads are not limited to CWCCA members, so we post it in the public domain. You will be asked to confirm that you are indeed a serious contributor and not a malicious piece of software, by typing in a code displayed to you. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is an unfortunate necessity.
Please keep in mind that your ad(s) are not complete until ad content is received by the editors AND payment is received by the Treasurer. We must hold tightly to the posted deadlines in order to have sufficient time for printing and delivery at the National Specialty.
Should you encounter an error in this process, please contact Jeff $ as soon
as possible, by email link at bottom of this page or by phone
